Terms of Service

ENCORE is an online marketplace that lets dancers, parents and studios list, discover and buy pre-owned dancewear. ENCORE is not the seller of the items listed. Sellers are independent individuals who own and are responsible for their listings.

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account, or have a parent or guardian manage the account for you. You are responsible for the accuracy of your account information and for any activity that happens under your login.

• You may only list dancewear and accessories that you own and may legally resell.
• Listings must include honest photos, accurate sizing and measurements, and a truthful condition description including flaws, alterations and wear.
• Counterfeit items, unwashed or unsanitary garments, and items misrepresented as another brand are prohibited and will be removed.
• ENCORE may remove any listing or account that violates these terms.

Payments are processed by Stripe. When a buyer checks out, ENCORE collects the item price plus shipping and applies a 12% seller transaction fee to the item price. The remaining balance is paid out to the seller's connected Stripe account according to Stripe's payout schedule.

To receive payouts, sellers must complete Stripe onboarding and identity verification. ENCORE never sees or stores seller bank account details — that information is held by Stripe. Sellers are responsible for reporting and paying any taxes on their sales.

Sellers must ship within 5 business days of a completed sale using the tracking information supplied through ENCORE. Buyers are responsible for providing an accurate shipping address. Risk of loss transfers to the buyer once the carrier marks an item delivered.

Sales are final unless an item does not arrive, arrives significantly not as described, or is damaged in transit. Buyers may open a dispute in ENCORE within 3 days of delivery, or within 21 days of purchase if the item never arrives. Sellers have 3 days to respond.

ENCORE reviews the evidence submitted by both parties and may issue a full or partial refund, or deny the claim. Approved refunds are returned through Stripe to the buyer's original payment method and are deducted from the seller's payout.

• Arranging payment outside of ENCORE to avoid fees.
• Harassing, threatening or impersonating other members.
• Scraping, reverse engineering or interfering with the platform.
• Posting false reviews or manipulating reputation scores.

ENCORE is provided "as is". We do not guarantee the quality, safety or legality of items listed by sellers. To the fullest extent permitted by law, ENCORE's total liability for any claim relating to a transaction is limited to the amount of the transaction fee we collected on it.

We may update these terms and will change the date at the top of this page when we do. Continuing to use ENCORE after an update means you accept the revised terms. You may close your account at any time; we may suspend accounts that violate these terms.
